 The Alcon CAR89 “TA6+” is a high-performance front brake caliper built for motorsport environments where braking consistency, thermal control, and durability are critical. Forged from aerospace-grade aluminium, this monobloc design provides exceptional rigidity while keeping weight to a minimum.

The caliper features differential stainless steel pistons in a 27.0mm / 31.8mm / 38.1mm configuration, engineered to reduce pad taper and deliver even pressure distribution across the pad surface. Ventilated pistons with a low-friction coating reduce heat transfer and ensure consistent pedal feel, even under prolonged, high-temperature use.

An internally optimized design improves airflow and cooling, while hard steel wear plates protect the caliper body from pad contact. The bolted pad retainer increases stiffness under load and can be removed for pad servicing.
