Radium Engineering FHST – Nissan 350Z / G35 / G37 / Q50 / Q60

The Radium Engineering FHST (Fuel Hanger Surge Tank) is the ultimate solution for fuel starvation issues in the Nissan Z33/V35 chassis and its Infiniti counterparts. Due to the OEM saddle-bag style fuel tank and limited baffling, these vehicles commonly experience fuel starvation under high-performance driving conditions such as track use. Radium's solution integrates a fully functional surge tank inside the OEM tank, eliminating the need for an external tank—ideal for the open cabin layout of the 350Z and G35.

The system supports 1 or 2 surge pumps, features an integrated adjustable 1:1 fuel pressure regulator, and is compatible with both brushed and brushless fuel pumps. The FHST installs without any grinding, bending, or cutting of the chassis and is fully compatible with alternative fuels, including E85.

How It Works:
The Radium FHST is mounted opposite the OEM fuel module inside the tank. The OEM module (fitted with a higher-flow pump) transfers fuel to the FHST, keeping its collector box full via:

• The upgraded OEM pump

• Return flow from the built-in regulator

• Integrated 355LPH one-way fill valves

The FHST then delivers consistent, regulated fuel to the engine via one or two aftermarket pumps. This setup ensures stable pressure and eliminates starvation—even under cornering, acceleration, and low fuel levels.

Integrated Fuel Pressure Regulator:

• Adjustable 1:1 boost-referenced regulator

• External screw adjustment with vacuum port

• 360° swivelling vacuum reference fitting with 4 interchangeable adapters:

  1. Barbed fitting (5mm)

  2. 3AN male

  3. Push-to-connect (1/4" OD tube)

  4. Vacuum plug for static systems

• Only one regulator should be used in the system

• Return fuel is directed back into the FHST to keep it full

Plumbing:

• Feed: 8AN ORB port with pre-installed 6AN male adapter

• Return: 6AN ORB port with 6AN male adapter

• Additional FPR port (plugged unless using P/N: 20-0806)

• Includes 6AN hoses to link the dual tank setup

• OEM feed line adapter included

• Optional upgrade: 8AN feed with P/N: 20-1000-0808 and custom line

• Inlet and outlet sock filters included

• Downstream filter recommended, but not required

Electrical:

• Stainless steel anti-rotation studs for high current

• Hermetically sealed, fuel-resistant connections

• Non-conductive anodised acorn nuts for safety

• ETFE-coated in-tank wiring

• Includes relay, fuse, wiring and hardware for 1 surge pump

• Additional wiring kits (P/N: 17-0031) required for second pump

1. OEM venturi system must be retained
