The Radium Engineering CCV catch can kit is designed for the Nissan S13 to eliminate oil and sludge accumulation in the intake system. It mounts to 2 holes on the LH side of the unibody near the firewall and is engineered to clear the windshield wiper motor (RHD) and master cylinders (LHD). This catch can system runs inline between the crankcase vent (CCV) port and the intake pipe.

At low loads, the system experiences atmospheric pressure, but under high load (WOT), it experiences high flow from the crankcase into the intake system. Without the CCV catch can, this would normally lead to oil and sludge buildup in the intake pipe, which could spread to the intercooler, lowering its thermal efficiency and decreasing performance. The CCV catch can effectively captures these contaminants and promotes clean, filtered air back into the intake.

Notes:

  1. The CCV catch can kit does NOT address blow-by from the PCV valve side of the crankcase.

  2. The CCV catch can kit is compatible with and recommended to be used with the PCV catch can kit (see 20-0725).

  3. The kit is designed to connect the provided hose to the OEM valve cover barb. However, an add-on a la carte option for the SR20DET is available (sold separately). The parts required are:

    • 1x 20-0811 10AN Press-In Fitting

    • 1x 14-0215 10AN Hose End, 180deg

    • 1x 14-0211 10AN Hose End, Straight
